CargoTravel.online is a free online utility that helps you estimate cargo volume, weight and shipping costs. You may use it for personal, educational and business planning purposes.

The calculator works out cargo volume (CBM), actual weight, volumetric weight, chargeable weight and an estimated freight cost from the information you enter. Cost estimates are based on rates that you provide, or on example rates that are clearly labelled as examples. They are not live market rates.

CargoTravel.online is not a freight carrier, freight forwarder, broker or shipping agent. We do not provide official quotations, book shipments, arrange transport or handle cargo. A result from the calculator is not an offer, a quotation or a guarantee of price, capacity or transit time.

For an official price, please request a quotation from a carrier or freight forwarder of your choice.

Accuracy and Limitations

We aim to keep the calculator’s formulas and unit conversions correct, and the website explains how each result is calculated. However, results depend on the information you enter, and a general calculator cannot account for every pricing rule.

Actual freight costs may differ from any estimate due to factors including:

  • Carrier pricing and service level
  • Route and distance
  • Fuel charges and other surcharges
  • Customs requirements
  • Taxes and duties
  • Handling, terminal and port charges
  • Dimensional-weight rules, divisors, rounding and minimum charges used by the carrier
  • Cargo type, including dangerous, oversized or perishable goods

Transit time ranges shown on the website are approximate general ranges and are not guaranteed delivery times. Changing the currency in the calculator changes the currency label only and does not convert amounts.

  • Entering accurate dimensions, quantities, weights, units and rates
  • Checking that the volumetric divisor and settings match the rules of your carrier
  • Confirming prices, charges, transit times and requirements directly with your carrier or freight forwarder before making any decision or booking
  • Complying with any shipping, customs and import or export rules that apply to your cargo
  • Making sure any information you send through the contact form is accurate and does not include sensitive personal information

Any business, financial or shipping decision you make is your own. We recommend using the calculator as a starting point for planning, not as the final basis for a commercial decision.
